Great day in a beach town. Elements of this remind me of my childhood in San Clemente, California: the whitewashed walls & red clay roof tiles, the smell of the sea, surfers & sometimes somewhat scruffy beach people, ice plant on top of unstable bluffs over sand beaches. Nice vibe. And we’re done hauling our own suitcases for a few days.
I’m writing now at a rooftop bar overlooking the Fisherman’s Trail & ocean with sunset an hour away.
I found my souvenir too. Check my new hat.
Tomorrow, the first day of walking, is one of the longest and much of it is on sand, but today has been relaxing and drinking Sagres, a Pilsner.
oh yeah, we had lunch at El Pescador where we demolished a sea bass and a dorado.
Dinner was pizza.
